Surely one cannot have so many pairs of shoes and only ever wear the same five? It seems like I will have to either do another clean up, or actually start wearing the damn shoes. Problem is, I always tend to choose comfort over style - so why do I still buy shoes that I don't wear? Because I can never anticipate how uncomfortable they will be. Ten points for anyone who can guess how many pairs I own judging from the picture.
I'm sure some of you remember the security guard at the Gautrain Station and his desire to read a book called: Think and Grow Rich? Well, so far, I've received the book a few weeks ago via Fedex from a very generous and good friend, Dean, who went ahead and ordered it before I could even blink. So my next course of action was to find the guard - only, I couldn't remember his name to save my life! So I took the time out and went to speak to the manager.
It turns out, there are a few hundred security guards manning the station, so I asked her to tell all of them at their next meeting about the book and I gave her my number. I withheld the name of the book in an attempt to dissuade any chancers, but it doesn't seem to have worked because I still haven't received a phone call. I initially thought that she didn't mention it to them, until I approached a random guard and asked him if he was interested in the book, and he said that she had spoken to all of them. So I will have to revisit, give her the name of the book or the authors name, to weed out the guard.
Looking at a recent photo of Sofia Vergara from her Twitter account the other day, nearly had me choking on my unsalted rice cake. She looks so great for her age, that I'm not sure that I personally know any 40 year old who comes close.
But I guess when it is your job to look good, it becomes a means to an end. And I can tell you this, she definitely does not eat burgers or pasta or anything that doesn't taste like cardboard. Small sacrifices or the living dead? That's up to interpretation.
Speaking of Twitter. I've recently re-joined the tweeting world after a much needed break (almost a year). I tend to be more liberated with my views, opinions, thoughts, ideas and language on Twitter than on any other social medium. I don't know why that is.
The only problem with going back after such a long time is that I can't seem to remember all of the awesome people I followed - and I know I followed a lot - which is frustrating. I tend to follow the less followed - those C-list and D-list celebs and people who are generally more liberated with their information. And seeing as I couldn't remember a security guards name (that I had met a couple months ago), I don't know if I'll ever remember everyone. So, holler.
Hope everyone had a great New Years. Mine was... crazy. Never club/bar hopping ever again. It's exhausting. And as someone who doesn't drink - pointless. I still had TONNES of fun with my sisters though, and a few other poor souls.
