My valentine message to cupid & his arrow...

I'm bulletproof
Nothing to lose
Fire away, fire away
Ricochet
You take your aim
Fire away, fire away
You shoot me down
But I won't fall
I am Titanium
You shoot me down
But I won't fall
I am Titanium

I've had this stupid song (that I happen to like) stuck in my head for the entire day. How apt huh? Except it isn't.

Thing is, I'm not slating Love - or rather the commercialism of it - this year. Been there, done that. Instead I will accept and embrace it for what it is.

I wish for everyone only the best kind of love - wholesome, unconditional; the type that brings out the best in you and makes you a better person. A love that helps you through the bad times, and smiles with you through the good times and lasts throughout the ages. And may we recognise this love in the eyes of our families and friends and everyone around us who makes life worthwhile.

Happy Valentines Day.

Love is when you're missing some of your teeth
but you're not afraid to smile
because you know your friends will still love you
even though some of you is missing ♥
~ Emma K, aged 6.

  1. I am TITAAAYNEEUM! I can never hit that note. Never. I've REALLY tried. What a lovely message Azra. That's exactly what love is all about and not just one day of overpriced roses.

  8. I always think that people who complain about commercialism on Valentines Day only do so because they haven't got a card.

    1. I think some businesses make their entire years profit on Valentine's Day, Tony. I mean, have you seen the price of a bunch of red roses. That's a down payment on a Ford Focus.

  9. Am I the only one who likes Valentine's day (and holidays in general) because it's so commercialized?

    Cheap chocolates are awesome.

  11. I feel comfortable reading this. I have been failing a lot and I will have more failures in the future but I know there are people who still accept me knowing that I am not perfect enough. :)

  12. I wish for YOU the best kind of love, now and beyond!

    Also?

Valentine's Day (which Yogi and I never celebrate, just 'cause) always reminds me of the brilliant Simpsons eppie wherein Ralph falls in love with Lisa after she gives him the "I choo-choo-choose you" card, bwahahah.

    And the following exchange:

Krusty the Klown: What's your name, son?
    Ralph: Ralph.
Krusty: And is this your giiiirlfriend, Ralph?
Ralph: YES! I love Lisa Simpson, and when I grow up, I'm going to marry her!
Lisa: NOOOOOOOOOO!!!! Now, you listen to me: I don't like you! I NEVER liked you. And the only reason I GAVE you that stupid valentine is because nobody else WOULD!

    Bwahahahahah...aw, poor Ralphie! :D
