In the interim...

I don't know if it's just me, or does it seem like the entire world is going bonkers lately. Perhaps it's just my exposure to it. It's gotten to the point where I no longer want to watch the news, or the entertainment for that matter. It's just too depressing... all of it.

And feeling quite useless, and helpless, the only thing left to do is Pray. And watch Hart of Dixie...

What a sad state the world must be in, if the very idea of a simpler time has become a myth and can only be depicted in, and relegated to, forms of entertainment.

And while greedy, power hungry people rule the world, I can only wonder what will happen to the rest of us.

  2. No, it's not just you. I've found that becoming LESS of a reported-news junkie helps me stay more focused on being a bigger and better person.

    1. I agree Roving Retorter, when I hear about what some Muslims have to say in the news, I cringe - literally. And it makes me hate them. So I'm a better person not hearing all their crap.

    1. How awesome is Hart of Dixie? It takes me back to a time in television where things were less intense and more fun and light hearted. I also like Wade (even though I want to kick him sometimes) - and Lemon is a hoot.

  5. I never watch the news either, Az. I just never do. Not anymore I don't. I don't mind being blue, but I don't want to become suicidal. You know what I mean? Not that I am. But better safe than sorry. I do remember a simpler time. I didn't have to pretend I'm a wise and, above all, serious adult, didn't have to pay tax either or vote. And food, why all I needed to do was open the fridge. What's in your fridge today?

Typing is hard but I just had to.

    1. Ah my Grumpy cuz. How have you been. You're too quiet for my liking. I so hope you're doing better. I'm afraid the only enticing thing I have in my fridge today is a dozen eggs. Want me to bake you a cake?

    2. I bet you'd do a good job, too. But here's the problem: I'm allergic to eggs.

      I know.

  6. I feel you. Whenever I think about all these happenings, I get depressed. The least thing I can do is to make this world extra happy by giving people good vibes and feel good.

  7. One of the first things I look at when I turn my phone on is the news and...it's usually negative, political, and makes you feel as if everything is going down the drain. I don't know why I do it.

We have to look for the positives in the day-to-day things, and just try to make the world a better place in the little ways we can. Step by step, day by day. We're largely good people, you know?

    1. I agree Michelle. We are largely good people. A few rotten apples here and there, but mostly good. I wish more people would focus on that (instead of trying to ruin it for everyone else).

  9. Seriously, so much crazy. I barely watch the news because it makes me so sad and disgruntled. Also, I'm so sorry that I haven't been around much recently. For a while when I visited your blog it would just freeze my computer so I stopped trying, but it worked this time so yay!

    1. Yes Deidre, too much crazy. And the majority of people can't do anything to help... so we just end up feeling depressed.
